IV vs. V: a Comparison of Silverliner Trains

So, for starters, Silverliners are the commuter trains that Septa uses. They are EMUs, which means they each have their own motors. The types that run today are the Silverliners IV and V. Now let’s do this

Silverliner IV:

Pros: has five seats abreast.

Cons: has no PA system, so the conductors have to yell what station is next.

Silverliner V:

Pros: has PA system and little screens that tell you what the next station is and the time.

Cons: only has four seats abreast.
